Dear Reader,
Before you begin reading The Soulmate, I want to tell you something important.
This book is a work of fiction. Every character, event, dialogue, place, emotion, and situation in this story is born from my imagination. Nothing in this book is meant to represent real people or real-life incidents.
Now let's talk about imagination.
If someone asks me what imagination means, my answer is simple—it is the world where our heart goes when reality says, "Not today."
According to me, there are two kinds of imagination.
The first is the kind that gives us hope. For example, if I say, "I want to fly," I don't literally mean I want wings growing out of my back. I simply mean I want to experience flying—through an airplane, a helicopter, or anything that makes that dream possible.
And then comes the second type... the one I lovingly call bakchodi. 😂
So please don't overthink every fictional scene or search for logic where the heart is simply trying to tell a story. Sometimes a story exists just to make you feel something.
The characters in this book are not perfect.
They have flaws.
They make mistakes.
They get angry.
They cry.
They laugh.
They fail.
They heal.
They love.
Just like you.
Some characters will inspire you.
Some will frustrate you.
Some may even break your heart.
You might find lessons in them, memories of yourself, or emotions you never knew you carried. That's the magic of stories.
I have been writing The Soulmate for more than seven months. It stayed safely inside my drafts for a long time because life kept getting in the way. But every single page was written with love, patience, and countless emotions.
And today...
I'm finally ready to share it with you.
I don't know where this journey will take us, but I truly believe the destination will be beautiful—as long as you and I walk this journey together.
So...
Apni dil ki dhadkano ko kabu kar lijiye... kyunki, mere dost... drama abhi baaki hai. ❤️
With love,
— Arpit
